Actor Priyanka Chopra was aghast when a fan, Trupti Bansal, was recently hurt while performing a stunt the actor herself had designed. The action sequence, which was created for a reality TV show, went horribly wrong, and resulted in Trupti tearing a ligament. “I felt sorry for her. I’m sure the girl didn’t come expecting this. And I didn’t see this coming at all because there was safety equipment ready on the sets and she was harnessed. But accidents can never be predicted,” says the National Award winner with a sigh.She admits that her show, Khatron Ke Khiladi Season Three, boosted her fascination with stunt sequences, saying, “I thought a stunt should be part of the schedule I design for my fan, since she’s living my life for a day and needs to know all the details. Nothing from the glam schedule went wrong, except this,” she rues.As part of the return gifts, Priyanka, who appeared on the show, Live My Life, on UTV Stars, gave Trupti a pair of Salvatore Ferragamo shoes, a mobile phone that she uses, and a camera that she endorses.The actor will now get busy with a couple of dramatic scenes for Agneepath, followed by Barfee, before she starts work on Krrish 2 in December. In the film, Priyanka continues playing TV journalist Priya, in love with Krishna (Hrithik Roshan). Considering that everyone in the movie, including the villains (Jacqueline Fernandez and Vivek Oberoi) and the hero will be flying through the air most of the time, has she negotiated some action scenes for herself with director-producer Rakesh Roshan?“Priya is a journalist like any other from the fraternity. Now, I don’t see you guys flying to get to interviews and press conferences in time,” she laughs, adding, “But I can tell you right now that her clothes and body language are contemporary. But it would be too early to say whether the heroine is fighting the male villain or the female, or both. Given a choice, I’d like to fight the man. It’ll be fun to watch.”Priyanka does admit that Roma, her character in Don 2 that releases in December, will see her perform a lot of action. “Roma had a couple of action sequences in Don (2006), and this time too, she’ll be seen performing stunts, perhaps more than were featured in the first movie,” she says, adding that she had to work out harder and keep her diet under check to handle the intensity.Priyanka states. “When I first played Roma, I had to keep in mind that someone as good as Zeenat Aman played the character before me. This time, Roma is completely Farhan’s (director Farhan Akhtar) creation. I can’t wait for the audience’s reaction.”
